Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her showbiz career early. Her roles included lead characters in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. Her fame was due to her performance in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this beautiful diva. Alexandra is well-known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as along with the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she has been a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in the Cannes Film Festival.
