Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens she portrayed the lead role in several dramas on television. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also highly praised. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra's professional career has included work on a number of important national and international projects. They comprise British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she is a jury member at two festivals: and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
