Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. He is a mixed-race kid born to Manny James and Patty James. The father of Manny James is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. After graduating from Sanderson High School, in 2010 he enrolled at Wake Forest University and obtained an Economics Bachelor's Degree. James first became famous by his character on the reality show's Bachelorette's star. In 2020, he was chosen as the bachelor on The Bachelor's season 25, becoming The initial African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James was the ideal choice for the role, as he is well-rounded tall, athletic and has a good sense of humor. The series was over when he decided to choose Rachael Krkconnell as his choice to begin a relationship with her. In season 30 (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, He competed against famous dancing star Arnold. James and Arnold finished 12th on the competition.
